Sponsored Pits
Pit Bull Adoption
Sponsorship cannot happen without you! Our Pit Bulls rely on generous donations from individuals like you, who share our love and passion for the breed. Your donations, small and large, help us sponsor as many furry friends as possible. Your support is what allows us to expand the amount of shelters we partner with and increase the number of sponsored Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Adoptions!
How do we use donations? One time donations allow us to sponsor and advertise the individual Pit Bull that has been at the shelter longest!
Monthly donations allow us to work towards adding additional shelters to our program and expand our organization! We have a dream of one day being able to help Pibbles in every state.
Let’s go home
When our sponsored Pit Bulls finally find their furever home, our community partners help us provide an ever-expanding support package to the adopting families. While professional training support is the core of our package, we are always working with our community to expand our support, including adding benefits such as veterinary services and discounts at retail stores.
Please continue to check our website for updates on benefits and partner locations, as well as our current Pit Bull adoption and Pit Bull advocacy efforts.
Currently, upon adoption, our sponsored dogs will receive the K2C Pibble Package (at no expense to the family) to include the following from our partners:
- Free access to our training videos
- Free access to our resource library

Shasta
Come and take Shasta home! A 3 year old 50 lb American Staffordshire Terrier mix, this girl is athletic, energetic, loves a good swim and is ready to take on an adventure.
Each dog adopted from Butte Humane Society is spayed/neutered up to date on vaccines and preventatives, socialized and eagerly waiting their forever family. What my foster has to say: “I took Shasta for a bedtime foster, and she did fantastic! She rides in the car really well. She’s a bit toy-crazy, so any future adopter should have tough toys for her, as she loves to chew. She often brings her toy onto your lap to chew on, but if you tell her to go lay down with it, she listens right away.
Shasta has excellent manners! She doesn’t jump up or get on counters. She’s potty trained and did great with regular potty breaks at my house. During dinner, she showed wonderful manners again, while my husband and I were eating, she just went and laid down quietly. At bedtime, she slept in the bed all night. She was a bit of a bed hog, but I didn’t mind! I think her ideal home would be one without other animals, and with older (teenage) children, a single adult, or a couple.”
If I sound like the perfect fit for you please fill out an application at buttehumane.org today! Make an appointment to meet me at the Butte Humane Society in Chico, CA by calling (530) 343-7917, EXT 102.

Bruno
Bruno is a cool, calm, and collected kind of guy. He has an easygoing personality and enjoys taking things at his own pace. Bruno recently enjoyed a Shelter Skip Day outing. His companions reported that he is sweet, calm with some cute bursts of energy, cuddly, obedient, great in the car. He loved going on a long walk and doing tricks for treats (sit, down, wait, take). He also enjoyed snuggling up on the couch. What a good boy! If you’re looking for a chill companion to share your days with, Bruno might be the one for you. Bruno is also dog friendly ~ bonus! Come meet him today.
Kennel to Couch has been honored to receive a legacy gift to add a D.C. shelter to our program in honor of the late Eric Byrnes. His love and passion for the breed, and his beautiful pit bull ‘Babe’ will ensure that each pit bull that K2C sponsors at Brandywine will be funded in perpetuity.
If you would like to meet me, contact us at bvspca.org today! Make an appointment to meet me at the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 4 DC Village Lane SW

Priscilla
Hi, friends! My name is Priscilla!
I’m a super fun dog who LOVES to play! I’ll play with a ball, tug of war rope, extra squeaky toys, and of course my human friends! I love attention in all forms, and my huge smile proves it! I came in to the shelter as a stray, but I promise I’m the best girl in the world! I’ve been a Doggie Day Out participant for a long time, and everyone who takes me tells me that I’m so good and sweet. I ride in the car super well, and I’ll NEVER complain about getting a sweet little treat when you stop to get coffee or a burger. Hey, your backseat seems kinda empty right now, maybe I can fill that spot for you!

Bubba
Bubba is a joyful, affectionate lovebug who thrives on being close to his people—if there’s a lap nearby, he’ll happily curl up in it! He’s an expert cuddler and will gladly be your snuggle buddy, even acting as the sweetest and snuggliest “big spoon” when given the opportunity.
In foster care, Bubba has been settling nicely into a routine and continues to make great progress. He’s house trained, crate trained (often putting himself to bed for naps), and very food-motivated—he’ll happily sit for a treat and enjoys puzzle toys like a Kong Wobbler to keep his mind busy. He’s also been working on his leash manners and is responding well to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement.
Bubba has a playful, goofy personality that will always keep you smiling and laughing! He has been known to boop a mirror, phone, or anywhere else that he sees his handsome reflection, and also has an adorable habit of checking in with his people when he needs a little help. Like when his toy gets stuck and he needs an assist with getting it in the “proper position”, which just shows how much he trusts and bonds with his humans! He can be a little enthusiastic when greeting new friends, and may feel a bit nervous when left alone at times, but has been continuing to make lots of improvement and just needs a patient, loving home to continue building his confidence.
Since arriving at PAWS, Bubba was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. He currently has no signs of heart failure and remains bright and happy, though his condition may impact his long-term prognosis. His future family will need to monitor his breathing, avoid intense exercise, and continue his special diet.
Bubba’s fosters say it best, “He’s the most adorable friend ever. Always happiest when all of his humans are in one room together. He is really just a very happy boy who is always excited to spend time with you!”
If you’re open to giving a sweet, funny, and deeply affectionate dog the home he deserves, Bubba would be so lucky to meet you! Submit your adoption application, email us at adoptions@phillypaws.org, and you can also follow along for more of Bubba’s adventures on Instagram: @gusandnina!
Bubba will go home with a fabulous THREE MONTH SUPPLY CARE PACKAGE including his medications!
Bubba is also sponsored by our partners at Kennel to Couch, so his adopter will receive an incredible (free!) “pibble package” of supplies and resources (see the full package details at: https://kenneltocouch.org/pitbull-adoption/)!

PEACHES
Say hello to Peaches—a sweet, silly, and affectionate pup sponsored by Kennel to Couch! Peaches is always ready to play, snuggle, and charm her way into your heart. She’s fantastic with kids, eager to meet new people, and loves a good game of fetch (even if she’s still figuring out the “bring it back” part).
She’s shown social interest in other dogs and would do great with slow, structured introductions. Whether she’s out on a walk or curled up pretending to be a lap dog, Peaches is full of love and joy.
